Agent Steve Mitchell travels to Madrid to investigate the disappearance of Dr. Wicek, a scientist whose vital research on radio tubes is at risk. His investigation leads him from a tense encounter with bullfighter La Avispa to a confrontation with a suspicious hotel employee, Enrique. After tracking Enrique to a house, Mitchell discovers Dr. Wicek is being coerced into leaving the country. Following a high-speed chase and the rescue of Maria Wiecek, Mitchell confronts Consuela and Manescu. The investigation culminates in a dramatic revelation during a celebratory toast, where Mitchell exposes Manescu's plot to poison him.
